With the Head Office located in London and the newly refurbed office open in Leicester, PPL & PRS required a contractor that they could not only trust but also have excellent communication skills to ensure they are fully compliant and deal with any issues immediately with any of the equipment. With an innovative Helpdesk System, BMS are able to complete the reports electronically whilst onsite and issue the reports via email instantly to the Head Office so they are kept up to date constantly.
With newly re-furbished 90,000 sq. ft. floors, installed with new Mitsubishi equipment, the well-known insurance firm Hastings Direct occupy 2 floors of the St Georges Tower building.
New equipment can be costly , as can certain parts so it is imperative the correct maintenance is conducted to prolong the life of the kit and save money on future breakdowns. BMS are a Mitsubishi Diamond Partner which means not only are we identified as a recommended contractor, if maintained by ourselves we can offer a 7-year parts warranty as opposed to the standard 5 years which is offered on new installs. Over the extra 2years this could potentially save a company thousands.
With a relationship spanning approximately 25 years, through building relationships and offering an excellent service we have covered not only the mechanical and electrical maintenance for the Head Office but also Various Air Conditioning and Ventilation Installations in many of the Stores. Services include; HVAC maintenance, BMS Controls, Water Monitoring, Air Quality Tests ensuring compliance at all times. With 8 buildings and thousands of assets we use a barcode system which enables us to ensure each piece of kit is maintained, this information is deployed to the engineers Ipads electronically and they physically scan each asset so we can clearly see it has been looked at.
The maintenance contract is overseen at a strategic level by the dedicated Service Manager with the support and assistance with the Contracts Team who manage the large installation projects. The services are carried out by our specially trained high level of engineers.

Welford Road Stadium is the largest purpose-built rugby club ground in the UK with a capacity of 25,849! With two impressive stands and a clubhouse, BMS were delighted to be supporting their local club with their M&E needs. A contract is provided to carry out the planned maintenance element and also respond to reactive calls. The structured PPM programme has been designed to extend the lifecycle of plant and equipment, protecting the club’s investment. The tigers also have security that they have reactive technical support from BMS experts 24/7, 365 days a year which is imperative on match days.
Luma Hotel is one of the earliest lamp factories in Britain, bringing light to its people since 1881, so this contemporary, impressive hotel really is a piece of history with a previous Victorian workplace for the inhabitants of the surrounding terraces! BMS carry out maintenance to the Air Conditioning, Fire Alarm and Fire Extinguishers. We work around this busy hotel to ensure there is no disruption to the guests. The guest’s comfort is the number one priority, so it is critical the desired temperature is achieved.
A globally recognised Italian fashion brand, BMS secured the contract with D&G in 2016. The scope of services includes Air Conditioning and Legionella Prevention keeping in line with F-Gas Legislation and ACOP L8 and HSG274. Visits are non-intrusive and are completed out of hours.
BMS assist this worldwide leader in the building materials industry with a contract which covers various disciplines such as AC, Chillers, PAT Testing, Water Monitoring and Fire Alarm. We are able to identify what the strategy is within a business and from this are able to recognise what is a critical part of this stratagem and offer 4-hour SLA’s. For this client there are critical pieces of kit within the Laboratory’s which is a crucial part of the business functions therefore it is essential we adhere to SLA’s and get the equipment back up and running ASAP. Our engineers are equipped with a lot of necessary standard parts which are held on the vehicles so we can replace and repair certain items to minimise disruption to the client.
For over a decade BMS have offered an excellent Service to Alliance Healthcare sites Nationally, providing a dedicated team to carry out planned maintenance on critical equipment within the Communications Rooms, responding to reactive calls on a 4-hour response time from Scotland right down to the South coast. With an innovative Helpdesk System, we can log and track SLA’s effectively and report back to the client immediately and prove all responses adhered to.
The works comprised of a completely new mechanical services CAT A fit out in the Ground Floor office area at 25 Copthall Avenue. All new Mechanical services are exposed within the office comprising of a new 4 pipe fan coil unit system serving swirl diffusers. All new pipework and control valve installation installed throughout connecting to the landlords existing connections. New Trend BMS controls installation installed throughout to control the services installed on show. New supply & extract services installed from the landlords supply to provide fresh air ventilation to the office space. A new dedicated toilet extract system installed to provide extract services to the toilet areas. Modified public health services throughout the toilet core to new items of sanitaryware.
Building and Maintenance Services are pleased to have had the opportunity to fit out the HVAC and plumbing services for Fidelis at the Cheese Grater Building in London.
The entire floor has been fitted out with 4 pipe fan water side coil units providing heating and cooling to the office and open plan areas. This system as well as the extract equipment is controlled from a centralised control point.
The tea point areas have been provided with services to provide hot water, chilled water and zip tap services complete with leak detection equipment linked back to the control point.
Automated blinds have been set up around the perimeter of the floor with links also to the central control point.
Services on show such as grilles have been aesthetically chosen to suit the design of the office area layout.
