This is a common issue usually due to lack of servicing or a failed pump. It is normally a straight forward repair which can be completed instantly as our engineers hold various pumps as van stock.

Air Conditioning Units produce water condensate which runs within the units and is eventually removed from the drain. The condensate mixed with changing temperatures can create bacteria on the coils. By having your units serviced on a regular basis with the relevant chemicals not only removes any bad odours but helps the system run more efficiently.

For systems to run at its prime performance, it needs to be able to breathe. If the system is blocked with dirt and grime, then it has to work a lot harder. The more blocked the system is, the more electricity it will draw. By servicing the units on a regular basis, lowers energy consumption, reduces breakdowns and maintains Manufacturers warranty.

Performance may be due to a simple result of lack of servicing or a possible refrigerant leak. If the unit is dirty, having them cleaned/filters replaced is often enough to resolve the issue. However if it is a potential leak an engineer visit would be required to investigate and we would then offer a quotation for the required works.

If the unit appears to be freezing up and is possibly dripping water, then you will need an engineer attendance. We will investigate if a clean is required, or if the system has a refrigerant leak. If the unit is blocked with dirt and grime then the system cannot ‘breathe’ as it should. This results in the chilled air not being able to escape into the room so the unit freezes. This effect will happen if the system has a refrigerant leak and the unit will eventually fail and worst case will need to be replaced.

If the air flow doesn’t seem to be very powerful, it may need a simple adjustment of the Controller, or it could be a faulty Fan Motor especially if you have noticed a noisy unit. Alternatively if the filters are blocked due to lack of cleaning or replacements then it will require a clean/maintenance. Our engineers can carry out the servicing and also identify and rectify any faults whilst on site. If we cannot repair whilst on site, we will offer a quotation to rectify.
